Who we are
Belga is Belgium's leading news agency. Since 1920 it has served as a reliable source of information for the entire range of Belgian media (newspapers, magazines, television, radio, websites, mobiles, etc.) offering real time coverage of all aspects of news: politics, economics, general news, sports and entertainment.
BelgaPicture, the pictures department of Belga, has developed into a crucial part of the Belga coverage. Since 1946, BelgaPicture has covered all important events, both in this country and beyond. Today, BelgaPicture offers the most comprehensive picture archives in Belgium, with more than 23 tons of paper archives and millions of digitalized pictures accessible with a few mouse clicks on this website. Obviously it also offers real time coverage of all news events in the world, with pictures available within a few minutes of the news events.
Belga covers the Belgian news with its own team of photographers and stringers. The international pictures are obtained through a close collaboration with the following partners:
